THE JURNEY TO THE VILLAGE IS NOT A LOSS OF TIME
One of the fascinating prerogatives of Sardinia is the breathtaking sceneries that can be seen while on the roads, regardless of the destination. Whether you are starting off from Cagliari, from Olbia, from Sassari or Alghero, whichever route will surprise your visual. From time to time we suggest to take the opportunity of capturing some pictures.
On the SS125, once left Cagliari behind towards Muravera up to Km 59,900, you can find
Nuraghe Asoru on your left and side.
In continuation of your journey,
at the height of Barisardo you may admire another historical masterpiece
Domus De Janas (house of the fairies), a construction from the
Neolithic times.
But if departing from Olbia, then the sight may show Torre Sa Istrana which
takes its name from the village, a fraction of Olbia called Sa Istrana.
The Construction is a variety of Nuraghe.

Following the route on the SS131, one can't ignore the unique landscaping, a fusion of green hills and the sea. Budditogliu Straulas which is shown on the side photo.
Once reached Nuoro, the sights to visit are still many. On the right and side
Su Tempiesu a holy well of the neuralgic era, one of the very few sites that remained perfectly intact
that confirm the exceptional manufacturing skills of that time.
These are just a few tips of what can be found when travelling towards our village. Sardinia is a territory of endless surprises, even for those whom have visited it several times. Just imagine for those who never had the opportunity to visit this land.
